Bellingham Public Schools’ after-school dinners have begun for the new school year. We have expanded this program at Shuksan Middle School and now offer free, hot dinners four nights a week. Meals are served from 5 to 6 p.m., Monday – Thursday from Sept. 9 through June 18, 2015 in Shuksan’s cafeteria.

Please note: dinner will not be served on the following Thursdays that are middle school early dismissal days: Oct. 9, Nov. 6, Nov. 13, Dec. 11, Jan. 29, Feb. 12, March 12, June 11.

All children 18 and under are welcome. Accompanying adults are charged $4.

Providing healthy meals and snacks is part of our collective commitment to the children in our community, ensuring they have the nutrition they need to learn, play and grow. Offering this program promotes healthy, active individuals and supports the whole child as outlined in The Bellingham Promise.

The after-school dinner program is sponsored by the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA).
